Tom Hoier is a Senior Actuary at Guy Carpenter in London. With 6.5 years of consulting experience prior to his current role, Tom has supported general insurers over a wider range of services including audit, reserving, capital, M&A diligence, and transformation programmes. Tom’s expertise lies in technology and process transformation, and he splits his time between capital, pricing and reserving work. Tom is passionate about empowering his colleagues and peers to code their way out of problems, enjoying delivering tutorials on Excel VBA, R and Alteryx. In his spare time, Tom is a member of the Army Reserve (4PARA).
